Buddy is an ideal photo subject. He remains still and doesn’t seem to mind the camera lens constantly being pointed in his direction. Maddox just ignores me, per usual. Daphney on the other hand has to be denied the urge to get her canine bicuspids onto my best ‘glass’ or ‘bodies’.
What are ‘glass and bodies”? I am not taking about a Crate and Barrel Fashion Model, (I really don’t think there is such a thing.) I am referring to a Digital Camera consisting of a camera body with removable interchangeable lens (glass). A popular question Sugar and Spice receives is “What type of camera do you use?”
I have collected an arsenal over the years. DH’s back-up plan if he ever can’t find an approriate gift has always been camera equipment. Here is what I covet.

And to round out the pile, a super flash
I use it all, but yes, some pieces of equipment more than others. If you had to pin me down to select a desert island choice, it would be, drum roll please:
The Canon 50D Body with a 50mm Lens.
I am able to take clear photos with very little distortion or softness. It is sharp, small, light, inexpensive compared to a “L” lens (more about that later) and with an f1.4 aperture, fast. I love its image quality. With my style of photography, me and this lens seem to get along groovy.
On a last note, I have purchased my pieces from either Amazon.com or B and H Photo and Video in New York. I trust them. Be careful out on the streets, there are PLENTY of online shady camera stores. I have painfully argued with undoubtedly an Ex-Con from Jersey, politely telling him “shame on you – does your Mother know what you do!”. Now come to think of it, she likely was the mafia mob boss behind the operation in the back room counting the loot. Citibank finally went after them, I was refunded the money, and have no further details except this “camera store” can no longer be found online. So shop around and use a trusted verified site.

Maddox is rocking that hat, wish I could get Alex to wear one!!
