Juicing Recipes. With juicing being a New Years Resolution for many, medicine here is a favorite juicing recipe to share. I love it because it tastes great. Pinky swear, it just needs to be cold. Afterwards I feel like a green goddess, healthy and ready to take on the day. Look out Olive Oil, Popeye would be proud because the key ingredient to this juicing recipe is spinach.
When DH saw these ingredients, he was horrified.
DH: What in the heck are your making?
Me: Breakfast
DH: a nuclear green concoction?
Me: Yep, wanna try some – its good for you?
DH: Hell no

It works. The Peanut Butter and Banana carry this Juicing Recipe. I made DH try a few swigs, he caved to my demands. His exact words…
“Not too bad, just needs to be really cold”.
I’ll take that as a win – fist pumps in the air. So, if you heed his advice, pour it over some ice. I thought it tasted just fine without it.

I love this recipe. Tried it this morning and it WAS good. Suprisingly good. Thanks Kathleen.
Glad you liked it!
I freeze my bananas so you don’t have to use as much ice and it is colder. 🙂
Terrific Idea! I am off to cut up some bananas and put them in the freezer post haste! Thank you Jenny
Wow – that is one green smoothie. Do you think it would taste the same with milk? I don’t drink soy anymore… but i would be willing to try this. Be adventurous!!!

Milk and Protein Powder would both work wonderfully. Actually any ‘milk type’ product could be used.
Kudos to you for your green breakfast. The kids and I make green smoothies on a regular basis.
Definitely try frozen bananas! They make it creamy and cold. I also add frozen strawberries and ditch the Jif, it’s loaded with sugar. You won’t need it with frozen bananas:)

Awesome recipe! We are on South Beach phase 1, so we replaced the banana with an extra tbsp of all-natural pb, added a couple tablespoons of cacao powder and some artificial sweetener (we use xylitol, but I added a tad of sugar-free maple syrup to add some richness). Perfect after-workout refresher!
