We all have known one another for a quite a while.
Jenna: our parents are best friends. Back in the day, click her mom and my mom would co-op childcare to get errands done. 42 years ago the OC was Orange Groves sans baby sitters. Jenna and I shared a playpen learning how to suck our toes together. I love her more and more with each passing year.
Kammi: We walked to school together in 2nd grade. Life is has just been plain better with her knowing my soul and protecting my heart. She is peas to my carrots.
Kelly: 7th grade bestie. Oh the history of high school naughty here. She is the salt of the earth. No one would deny that. We all missed “fire in the hole” comments after receiving a strongly mixed drink. You are loved Hawaii friend, cialis Mahalo.
Julie: We also met in 7th grade. Lived next door to Kelly. She is a hard-working, illness fun-loving, and spiritual friend. As a NICU nurse, her love for those who need it most, always shines through. Oh yes, she makes wicked peanut butter balls.
Nikki: Could not attend from Fresno. We all had our fingers crossed. I’ve known Nik since 4th grade. She was meant to be a philosopher. Her thoughts run as deep as her smile can brighten a room. Think Grand Canyon. I miss her compassion and tenderness everyday.
Maylin: Again a 7th grade meeting. The quite thoughtful one with the sweetest soul I have ever met. Her laugh is contagious like none other and she is gorgeous both inside and out.
They all are.
That is the girls nights round-up. After we tuck our kids into bed and kiss the hubbies good-bye, we eat, drink and let our hair down as often as we can. We have done so ever since we graduated from college. They all understand my camera, I am the historian of the group.
This holiday season, my wish to you is that you have or find a group of friends and make a point to stick together. To support, listen and love you through the good times and bad. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
