Vineyard Vines’ Opens in Newport Beach {Shop Talk}

Vineyard Vines’ has opened a brand new store in Fashion Island, site Newport Beach.  They recently received a first class California Whalecome,  a whale is their logo, at their lively store opening party.

Shep and Ian, the founders, were on hand to celebrate with many Orange County shoppers.  They have a terrific story.  You see, in 1998, these two gentlemen quit their corporate New York jobs to start a clothing company.  Their vision was to create a company centered around the lifestyle and summer experiences of Martha’s Vineyard.  With no money, they set out to make eye-catching, quality ties.  Back in the early days, they sold those ties out of their cars.  People loved their whimsical style and demand grew.  Vineyard Vines now offers much more than ties.  Their stores feature a full line of Men’s, Women’s, and Youth apparel.  I give them credit for reaching out to the West Coast.  Their Martha’s Vineyard beach philosophy pairs perfectly with our coastal communities here in Orange County.

Here are a few items that will be entering the Balboa Beach Club style scene before you know it.

My family could be getting these delightful finds for the Holiday’s.  I adore the tiny golf clubs for my Dad, the golf enthusiast.  While my brother could use the candy canes around the office to catch a few smiles.

Awe, this little girls dress, perfect with white tights and black patent leather flats.

Finally, this USC tote bag will be a top seller in Southern California.   However, where is the UCLA love?  I could not find a Blue and Gold tote with Joe Bruin?
