Welcome Back Ann Taylor {Shop Talk}

The once main staple store for polished professional style has emerged this summer with a major makeover.  Ann Taylor’s new concept store, at South Coast Plaza, now boasts crystal chandeliers, private lounge areas and boutique-style fashions.  Ann Taylor now vibes a more fashion-forward sensibility for both polished professional and boutique shoppers.

Ann Taylor-022The new store is designed to create a more intimate experience. Luxurious finishes such as crystal chandeliers, custom floral wallpaper and seating and furniture-like fixtures add personality to the space. Lighting has been a huge focus. They wanted to create a space that is light and bright to accentuate the clothing. Surrounding the center of the store are the “shop in shops” where clients can discover and experience the different lifestyle aspects of Ann Taylor: suiting, relaxed chic, accessories and petites.

They are continuing to offer the professional pieces that shoppers depend on. But, they are also focusing on pieces that are sophisticated, versatile and ageless. I found this at their store opening party.  Surprising quality for the money.

A maxi dress for $118, come in solid black too. It is the picture of relaxed summer chic — perfect for day or night. Strapless with shirred overlayed bodice. Softly pleated below bodice for a fluid silhouette. Shelf bra with boning at bust. 41″ length from natural waist It has become my summer staple.  You can dress it up with a little bling for fancy occasions.

When you have a chance, go see for yourself.  Keep an eye out for their sales. 40% to 70% off selected items is a weekly occurrence.

Welcome back Ann Taylor, so nice to see you again.

  1. I love Ann Taylor! Great job on this post! So informative. You look fabulous in that dress. Next time though let us see your gorgeous face too! I can’t wait to check out the new store!!

  2. LOVE that maxi dress! Oh how I miss my Ann Taylor style. That was my “go-to” store when I was a professional. Now I seem to live in my workout wear – even when I don’t make it to the gym. 😉
