We had a baby shower brunch this past Sunday for our friend Ginell.
She is having the perfect pair of twins; a boy and girl. The quick decision that the theme of the party should be centered around this was made. We created a pear green baby shower for this perfect “Pair”. Throwing in a little pink, for girly good measure.
Ginell is in her second trimester and is looking awesome-fantastic. As her mother says, she was made for this job of pregnancy. It looks good on her.
Darling Rebekah from The Blissful Nest provided all the signs, menus, and cupcake toppers. To see more of her amazing work, check out her Etsy Shop HERE. Talented Rebekah also has her own blog HERE, it is a favorite.
On to the shower. The weather was beautiful and the tables were set.
Pear Sangria and Champagne flowed. While the ice water floated lemons and cucumbers. Drinks hit the spot on this Southern California day. Oh yes, those fun gray and white Kikkerland Paper Straws paper can be found over HERE.
Let’s share the food menu:
{Assorted Quiches}
{Asparagus wrapped in Prosciutto}
{Arugula Salad with Grilled Herbed Chicken and Pears}
{Steak Salad with Gorgonzola and Pear Wine Vinaigrette}
{Penne with Roasted Butternut Squash and Goat Cheese} RECIPE HERE
{Fresh Strawberries Blueberries Raspberries}
{Assorted Breads with herbed butter}
Everything was homemade with lots of love, bright and early in the wee morning hours. Chef Jon, have you recovered?
For more fun decorations. Baby boy and baby girl close-lines covered the walls. After baby books were stolen and scanned, photos of the Mommy and Daddy to-be as wee ones were clipped on. It made everyone giddy with anticipation of what the perfect pair will look like. Those glittery clothes pins were from Blair Britt Wedding & Event Design. Check out her site HERE. Thanks Blair!
Paper lanterns came from Asian Ideas. While the flowers and vases were parting gifts.
Mad Libs and Name That Celebrity Baby kept the ladies giggling.
The celebrity baby naming challenge; was down right challenging. Kate Hudson, Beyoncé, I forgot the 3rd baby, Angelina, Tom Cruise, Eminem, Ashton Kutcher and Antonio Banderas were featured.
Dessert, thank you Sprinkles Cupcakes. I love you forever. Especially you, mister Dark Chocolate with Coconut Frosting.
How can I forget about you? Keurig cups I love you too. Especially that green limited edition Island Coconut. {I suppose Coconut was the shower secret ingredient}
Now time for the gifts. The Mommy To Be was spoiled with her favorite Sprinkles Cupcake. Peanut Butter was her special treat while opening her gifts. The clothes line that-just-would-not-quit was a darling idea. So much adorable baby stuff it makes me want to have another…….. baby shower.
