This months BlogCrush OC was at the StoneFire Grill in Irvine last night. It was a friendly Bloggers meet-up, to sample some of the newly offered menu items. StoneFire’s claim to fame is a fresh approach to family dining. To further this approach, they have introduced a Healthy Alternatives Menu. This menu contains dishes with fewer than 500 calories. Some of the selections that we were able to savor were:
* Spinach Salad, no dressing (440 calories)
* Cheese-less Grilled Veggie Pizza (170 calories per slice)
* Italian Chopped Salad with Chicken, no dressing (500 calories)
* Mesquite BBQ Chicken Breast (240 calories per serving; serves 2)
* Mesquite BBQ Tri Tip (210 calories per serving; serves 4)
* Grilled Vegetables with Feta cheese (110 calories per serving; serves 2)
Here is the Cheese-less Pizza. It was “Freshly prepared. Simply delicious”. All of the items offered were of the highest quality; meat and produce a like.
Justin Harrigan, son of owner Mary Harrigan, explained the dishes. He was a model host, making sure everyone was well taken care of and informed.
My two favorites where the salads. The grilled vegetable on the left was a home run. How can you go wrong with Feta?
Even though the night was for sampling healthy options. Justin indulged our group with a sweet ending to the night. He brought out these three desserts.
Goodness Gracious.
My Cheese Cake choice was consumed in under 1 minute. So moist. So perfectly flavored. Bravo.
If you are in the neighborhood, I recommend stopping in and picking up dinner. It was delicious. Stonefire Grill has 7 locations in Southern California.
