I Found it! EFFEN Cucumber Vodka
EFFEN Cucumber Vodka became available to consumers this past March. I just found it on my grocer’s shelves this past week. Well, my friend, Ms. Anne found it while we were shopping. She is a HUGE EFFEN Black Cherry fan and her eyes became the size of walnuts when she locked on to that beautiful green bottle. “I’m buying three of these. Want one?” {disclaimer: just one was for herself; the other two were for gifts… until she finds more}
EFFEN Vodka is a super-premium vodka. The name EFFEN means “smooth, even and balanced” in Dutch. It’s made from premium wheat and has been distilled through a continuous process creating an exceptional smooth taste.
The bottle is also hip and well designed. It has a rubber sleeve that acts as a grip and an insulator to keep the vodka consistently cold. Well thought out people!
The EFFEN product line includes the following flavors:
EFFEN Vodka,
EFFEN Black Cherry Vodka, {Anne’s pick}
EFFEN Dutch Raspberry Vodka and now
EFFEN Cucumber Vodka.
With the essence of vine-ripe cucumbers, it is perfect for classic cocktails such as Bloody Marys, Vodka Martinis or Vodka Tonics. {If you need a terrific Bloody Mary Recipe, click HERE for Jenna’s. You won’t be sorry}
It can be found at your favorite retail liquor store with a suggested retail price of only $29.99 per 750ml bottle. We found ours at Pacific Ranch Market for $19.00.

Effen Cucumber, club soda and lime!!!
I just want to toss in my two cents on the Effen Cucumber Vodka. My wife and I are very fond of Saketinis. (basically equal parts Vodka & Sake… modify formula to taste-I like mine with more vodka, etc etc.) Anyway, we generally do these on Friday nights when out for sushi and garnish with sliced or shredded cucumber. Now I do admit to missing the cucumber but this is a fantastic alternative and might even taste better. So be brave and try and Effen Cucumber Saketini!! If you don’t need sweet drinks, you’ll love this. I promise.
