Prince at the Great Western Forum

Prince, a rock star who has built a three decade career by channeling the sexy, is in town.  Los Angeles, Great Western Forum, to be precise.  At 52; he looked  gorgeous, fit & trim with that daunting lascivious grin.

The band is solid, accompanied by back up singers and dancers who are sexy and polished.  He announced this would be the first of a series of Forum shows every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, beginning April 21.  “For as long as you will have us”

Lindsey and I are returning this Saturday night.  It was that good.

At this point in the night I watched Prince dash away, under heavy security,  from the stage only feet from us.  He dashed away politely through the under belly of the Great Western Forum to head home.   The entire band walked off and the drummer gave away ALL 20 of his drum sticks.  Show over.  Linz and I headed to the car basking in the after glow.  What an amazing show, hip shimmies and all.

Wait…..

#$%& there were more encores.  Many more encores.  He took it ole school for his remaining followers. All still in attendance were able to hold court stage side without security interference. The $25 rafter seats became front row. All the while Lindsey and I were watching International Flights land at LAX along the 405.
