Giorgio Armani Cosmetics the Holy Grail of Beauty

September 14, 2010 by Kathleen

Do you remember the 1980’s Faberge Shampoo Commercial? (<– You Tube Link, click to jog your memory)

“I told two friends about Faberge Organic shampoo. They told two friends and so on and so on and so on … “

This is what comes to mind when I think about the amazing make-up line by Giorgio Armani. I now love their products, you will see. But first this is how the recommendation came to me, in a Faberge way.

Shanna from My Favorite Everything had a guest post by the lovely Jen from Tiny Orange. Jen describes how she needed to splurge on something for herself and ended up with an amazing new foundation. You can read her story on Shanna’s site below:

MY FAVORITE EVERYTHING

As a subscriber to MFE, I read the post in March. It turns out my short term memory was tapped out that day, and the details of this find never made it into long term parking. Time passed and I continued to use my same ole beauty products; not knowing any different.

Two months later, while prepping for the Glee Concert In Hollywood, my friend Lindsey mentioned she had purchased the Face Fabric featured on MFE by Jen. A huge light bulb went on. Yes-yes-yes. I wanted to try that foundation. She slipped me a sample and I fell in love. I had found my Holy Grail of foundations. Here is a photo from that night. (Jen and Shanna had now told two friends).

Lindsey (aka The Modchik) also loved the Giorgio Armani find. She not only told me, but also many other friends via her Blog. Click HERE to enjoy her story about the fabulous Face Fabric.

The day after the concert I bought a tube of Face Fabric color #2.

It was now mine, all mine.

“Why you ask?” do I love this product. Face Fabric provides light coverage and gives big results. I wanted a sheer foundation to even out my complexion. Since I’m also 40 and fabulous, I wanted help with fine lines too. Let me tell you, it’s not easy finding a wrinkle erasure paired with sheer coverage.

Until now.

Giorgio Armani’s Face Fabric is a silicone base product that goes on smoothly; giving skin an even look while helping the pores and fine lines practically disappear. It keeps the skin looking matte and natural all day. It is a great high-end product that is well worth the investment. I will be a repeat buyer.

Kathleen’s Tip: Buy a foundation brush to apply your favorite foundation. They are designed to create a flawless look. Now with Face Fabric, you can’t go wrong. Everyone will believe you had your makeup professionally done.

Mac has a great one, click here to see.

Now back to more delightful finds. While recently in San Francisco, I visited the Giorgio Armani Counter to see what further offerings they might entice me to buy since the Skin Fabric was such a religious experience.

Needless to say, Giorgio Armani didn’t let me down. Sorry DH, I fell in love with a few more things. Let’s start with Fluid Sheer. It is the blush version of Face Fabric. ‘Fluid Sheer dresses skin in an illuminating veil of radiance. This unique, translucent formula is available in a range of versatile hues including makeup base shades, correcting shades, and radiance boosting shades. Blend your favorite Fluid Sheer with foundation to add radiance, polish and sculpting definition to your complexion’.

I love my Number 11.

the Sheer Bronzer (click the link to view) I love the #2.

It is a bronzer that looks purple-ish, but when applied does it’s job beautifully.

You never have to worry about over applying and resembling an Oompa Loopma in daylight.

And Finally, The Lipstick ‘Rouge d’Armani’ Lipstick. My color is #501.

The color is a favorite and the lid has a magnetic closure to make sure the lipstick lid stays put while rolling around in the bottom of your purse.

There. I have now told two friends.

The Faberge marketing model has now been put to effect for Giorgio Armani in this new emerging world of social media.

Which two friends are you going to tell?

Thanks Giorgio and your welcome.

I was not paid to endorse the products here. I am simply sharing a delightful find with my friends for as Oprah says ‘live your best life’.
