Delightful Find – A Mani that will rock your world.

April 8, 2010 by Kathleen

I confess, nail polish for Mommy is a tough one.

We love a great Mani, but the time, money, and ephemeral qualities make Mommy manicures a special treat. Like Shanna says from MyFavoriteEverything.com manicures are:

“Too tough with kids that can mess them up before they dry, or driving home with palms only on the steering wheel, only to mess them up as I step out of the car…you know what I’m talking about, and I don’t have time to “wait” for them to dry. Normally I ask the girls to give my nails a “buff” (Typically this is a man’s manicure, your nails are buffed until they shine so no polish or drying time needed.) However, I’ve also heard if you buff them this way too often you can weaken your nails – and I don’t need that on top of the rest of the falling-apart-3-pregnancies-later-body”

I could not agree more.

However, I am drawn to the fact that there is nothing more feminine than a well-done manicure. The precise prettiness and the pampering makes it lovely to be a lady. With a fresh manicure, you can be wearing your weekend sweats and still feel polished and put-together. However, along with Shanna, I can’t stand chipped nails and as soon as my manicure gets a little ratty, I whisk off the offending color. What is a girl to do?!
