Socially Snubbed

Maddox and Buddy have been trying to accept the fur baby.  Buddy, seems agreeable, most of the time, except when she wants to play with him. He tolerates her with gritted teeth until a full speed body slam occurs from across the yard.  Then he gets grouchy. Meanwhile, Maddox, the ultra cool King is quiet, UNTIL, the puppy begins her shenanigans. Then he will bark, sometimes authoritatively snap, just to let her know who is Elvis.  But Dagnabit, Daphney is quite obstinate about learning and chooses not to leave him/them alone.   The song  ‘Don’t Stand So Close To Me’ by Sting emanates from the Boys often.

Straight to the question.

Which do you correct?  The puppy for being playful and inquisitive? Or the Boys for being crabby?

Answer –  It is simply a difference in age…and ultimatley energy levels. Think of it as a couple of 40-something  bachelors being saddled with a toddler ALL DAY LONG. The Lover Boy’s are not being aggressive; they just want space.

This means Dapheny needs to go on more walks….many more walks.

She is now my new work out companion.

That pup is so cute! SO CUTE! This is one of the things that worries me if my husband ever does let me get a third dog! Looks like you’re handling it the way it should be handled–energy killer! 🙂
