Keeping Favorite Places Secret ~ THEhotel in Las Vegas

July 11, 2011 by Kathleen

photo 2 (6)Are there places you love so much, you don’t tell anyone about them? You find something that is so incredibly fantastic, you plain don’t want to share.  It happens; for fear of price increases, becoming over crowded, sold out, etc.  I was in a quandary. Considering these things and after thinking long and hard.  I have come to conclusion, it would be plum selfish of me to keep this fabulous place a secret.

It is THEhotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Hotel Las VegasThe lobby of THEhotel is non-smoking and oh so easy on the senses upon arrival.  It has beautiful, modern, yet comfortable rooms.  The kicker. Your room has a separate bed room and living room with 1.5 baths. This separation is ideal for napping children or  hung-over friends.  the-suite4The party may carry-on in the living room for the movers and shakers while the napping nappers nap.  The living room has a sofa, side chair, desk with chair, 50″ plasma TV with DVD player, stocked wet-bar (Patron and Grey Goose: Medium Sized) and separate half bath. Yes. Separate half the-suite3bath for the fellas or room-hopping guests.  The adjoining bedroom has 2 queens (or King if preferred), TV, and ample closet space.  The master Bathroom has a large  separate tub and shower with good water pressure.  The beds; crisp linens + mattress heaven + black out curtains = Cloud Nine. It’s a steal at $120 per night for a 725 sq. ft. suite.  No typo.  Check out the floorplan.

As for the Casino, there is none.  Which is excellent.  It means there is no hassle getting to your room.  No wandering a mile through smoky-changching-blingbling-bright lights- “WHEEL OF FORTUNE” casino.  If you want to get your craps game on, just mosey over to the adjoining Mandalay Bay Casino.  It’s a quick 5 minute walk through an inside hallway.

As for the water play.  THEhotel shares the same wave pool, lazy river, sandy beach, and other pools with the Mandalay.  We loved all the water, especially the wave pool and the lazy river.  Be sure to buy or bring an inflatable inner tube for the lazy river.  It’s more enjoyable.

Next time I am at THEhotel I hope to run into you.  It will be our fabulous secret Vegas destination that I am so glad I shared.
